Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 18 (ANI): Two priests sustained minor injuries after a group of five individuals attacked them on Saturday night in Mumbai, said Mumbai Police.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached to the spot but the accused fled from the spot.

"Last night in Mumbai, 5 people attacked two priests returning from worship, attacked with sticks and knives, the priest suffered minor injuries in this attack. As soon as the information of the attack was received, the police reached the spot, by then the accused had fled from the spot after attacking. Mumbai police detained two people in connection with this attack and started searching for the rest. The police are investigating the reason behind the attack," said Mumbai Police.

Further investigation is underway to find the reason behind the attack and apprehend the remaining accused. (ANI)
