Safdarjung, Palam, Lodhi Road, Ayanagar, and Gurugram received traces of rainfall. Humidity levels oscillated between 95 per cent and 68 per cent, the weather office said.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.

The weather office had predicted light rain on Monday morning in the area surrounding the Red Fort from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag on Independence Day.
