Mumbai, Aug 23 (PTI) US-based The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), which provides IT and ITES services, consulting and business solutions to Guardian and its affiliates, on Wednesday announced the appointment of Shiney Prasad as Country Head - India.
Prasad will report to Dean Del Vecchio, Chief Information and Operations Officer at Guardian, said in a statement.
"His extensive expertise across the insurance domain will help us build upon our successes and ensure our operations in India are well-positioned to meet the growing needs of our business," Vecchio said.
Prasad has more than 30 years of experience in life and general insurance, wealth and asset management, shared services, technology, and digital transformation across North America, South East Asia, and India.

With India travel market projected to reach USD 125 billion by FY27, and Indians increasingly preferring to book travel online, the language support will benefit travellers and partners alike in metro cities as well as Tier II and III cities across the country, Skyscanner said in a statement.
"When accessing flight options on Skyscanner travellers will now automatically be redirected to the Hindi locale on the airline or OTA site. As well as native language support, we are also investing across our entire product portfolio, not just for consumers but importantly too for our partners in areas such distribution, advertising, and data," Skyscanner VP of Strategic Relations Hugh Aitken said.
