Delhi has been under the grip of a severe heatwave in the last few days.
Najafgarh recorded a high of 44.6 degrees Celsius, while Narela recorded 46.2 degrees, Aya Nagar recorded 44.4 degrees, Pusa recorded 45.2 degrees, Pitampura recorded 44.7 degrees, and Palam recorded 44.1 degrees, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a bulletin.
The relative humidity oscillated between 28 per cent and 27 per cent during the day.
The weather office predicted a generally cloudy sky with thunderstorms and light rain, accompanied by gusty winds with speeds of 25 to 35 kmph on Sunday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to reach 43 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.
