New York [USA], Oct 11 (ANI): The son of New York state's Prestige Limousine owner, Nauman Hussain, was taken into custody for four days after 20 people died in a crash involving one of the company's vehicle last week.

Nauman is the son of Shahed Hussain, the owner of the limo company, who is currently in Pakistan. He was taken to custody following a traffic stop on a highway near Albany, the New York State Police said, The Hill reported.

Nauman's attorney, Lee Kindlon said that he expected that his client would be charged with criminally negligent homicide.

On October 6, the limo, carrying 17 members, was on its way to an upstate New York brewery, before it ploughed through a stopping sign and crashed into a parked SUV at the intersection of State Route 30 and 30A in Schoharie, killing all the occupants inside, including the vehicle's driver and two pedestrians.

New York governor Andrew Cuomo had said that the limousine was not even supposed to be on the road and the driver did not possess a proper commercial license. (ANI)
