New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) A woman and her three children trapped in a room due to a fire mishap were rescued unhurt from Church Mall Road here, police said Wednesday.

The Police Control Room (PCR) staff were informed about the fire at around 2.50 PM on Tuesday, they said.

According to police, on reaching the spot, Sunita was found trapped inside the room, along with her three children.

The fire was spreading rapidly from an electric meter, and wood board.

PCR staff quickly evacuated the lady and her children from the room by dousing the fire and saved four precious lives, police said. PTI AMP

PCR staff foil youth's bid to end life

New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) A man who was allegedly trying to commit suicide by setting himself ablaze at Adarsh Colony here was rescued, police said Wednesday.

On Tuesday, at about 4.20 PM, when the PCR staff reached the spot, they found the man was trying to set himself on fire in a room which was locked from inside, they said.

PCR staff save heart attack victim

New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) The police control room staff managed to save the life of a man who suffered a heart attack near Liberty Cinema here, officials said Wednesday.

After being alerted Tuesday, the PCR staff reached the spot and found Raman Kumar in an unconscious state.

He was taken inside the PCR MPV, administered CPR and simultaneously taken to a hospital for treatment where he survived, police added. PTI AMP

Man held for supplying illicit liquor

New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly supplying illicit liquor in west Delhi's Punjabi Bagh area, police said Wednesday.

Suraj was nabbed from the Shivaji Park Metro Station area on Tuesday, they said.

Thirty-one cartons of illicit liquor was seized from the car, police said.
