Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)

About Aam Aadmi Party

Headed by Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was founded on November 26, 2012. AAP is currently the ruling party in Delhi and is the second largest and prime opposition party in Punjab Assembly. AAP came into existence following the fallout between Kejriwal and social activist Anna Hazare after the India Against Corruption movement. While Anna was of the view that the campaign shouldn’t have involvement in politics, Kejriwal was adamant on finding a political solution for corruption, Jan Lokpal Bill and other social and political causes.
