The 64th Filmfare Awards is here, once again hosted by the ever-dependable Shah Rukh Khan, helped by Vicky Kaushal, Ranveer Singh and Rajkummar Rao. Let's talk about who won the Best Actress Award for Supporting Role (Female). We had six terrific nominees for the category. There is the veteran theatre artiste Gitanjali Rao for Shoojit Sircar's October. Katrina Kaif's scintillating turn as the alcoholic Bollywood diva in Aanand L Rai's Zero was also honoured. Filmfare Awards 2019 Best Supporting Actor Award: Vicky Kaushal and Gajraj Rao Share the Honour for Sanju and Badhaai Ho Respectively.

Then there is the newcomer Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker in Veere Di Wedding. Yamini Das was also recognised for her lovely work in Sui Dhaaga: Made in India. Finally, there is the terrific Surekha Sikri in Badhaai Ho.

And in the end, the veteran actress Surekha Sikri took away the black lady beating Katrina Kaif and Swara Bhasker. An accolade well deserved, we must say!
