Akshay Kumar's latest offering Kesari has finally crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office. Directed by Anurag Singh, the historical war drama released last month on Holi and set the box office on fire by becoming the biggest opener of 2019. On day 1, the film raked in Rs 21 crore and then soon went on to enter the Rs 100 crore club. In fact, Kesari reached the coveted club in just six days and became the fastest film of the year to do so. And now it has achieved yet another milestone at the domestic box office. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#Kesari crosses ₹ 150 cr... Witnesses substantial growth on [fourth] Sat and Sun... Will add a few more crores, before #Kalank [on Wed] and #AvengersEndgame arrive... [Week 4] Fri 70 lakhs, Sat 1.30 cr, Sun 1.70 cr. Total: ₹ 150.91 cr. India biz."

Co-produced by Dharma Productions, Azure Entertainment, Zee Studios and Cape of Good Films, the period drama is Kumar's 10th film that is a part of Rs 100 crore club. Based on the epic Battle of Saragrahi which was fought between 21 Sikh soldiers and 10,000 Afghan invaders in 1897, Kesari also features Parineeti Chopra but in a special appearance.
