Hrithik Roshan has been away from the big screen for over two years now. The talented actor was last seen in Kaabil alongside Yami Gautam which released in January 2017. The action thriller fared well at the ticket windows despite garnering mixed reviews from the critics. And now Hrithik is back with his much-awaited film Super 30 which was in the making for a long time. The biographical drama is based on the life of Indian mathematician genius, Anand Kumar. Directed by Vikas Bahl, Super 30 was supposed to release on January 25. However, the film got postponed as Bahl got embroiled in the #MeToo controversy. Later, July 26 was locked in as the release date for Super 30 but once again the makers had to change their plans as Kangana Ranaut starrer Judgmental Hai Kya also zeroed down the same date for its release. So finally Hrithik starrer is hitting the screens tomorrow, July 12. Since the biopic is a solo release and has been receiving good reviews from the critics, it looks like Hrithik may just storm the box office with his newest offering.
As for the opening day collection, according to trade experts the film will definitely take a double-digit opening of around Rs 12 to 14 crore on Friday. After watching the film, film trade analyst Sumit Kadel wrote on his Twitter timeline, "#Super30 could connect with audience like Hindi Medium. Film will also remind you of #Hichki. If audience likes Second half then it would become one of the biggest hit of Hrithik career. It has every ingredients to become successful at the box office." Though Hrithik's film seems to be well placed at the moment, it will face some competition from Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh and Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 as both the movies are currently faring very well at the domestic box office. On the other hand, now that India is out of the ongoing cricket world cup tournament, it will certainly help Super 30 perform better over the first weekend.
