A new trailer of the upcoming horror film, Doctor Sleep, dropped today on the internet. Danny Lloyd, who played the young Danny Torrance in Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 classic The Shining, had already expressed his excitement about the film when he watched the first trailer. The new footage reveals Danny going back to the Overlook Hotel, where the tale of terror began. He brings along a new kid, who also has special powers, just like him. The kid calls the powers, magic, while Danny still calls it The Shining.  At the hotel, he is once again confronted by the ghost of the twin sisters, which is going to be a terrifying scene. The new trailer is definitely an upgrade. What will Danny Lloyd say now?

Doctor Sleep is the official adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name, which was the sequel to his book, The Shining. Although to be noted that the movie Doctor Sleep is not a direct sequel to The Shining movie, that came out in 1980. But you might find similar set-pieces, like the blood in the elevator, which are there since they were in the book. But the makers have also used elements from the film, for instance, the ominous theme music.  Speaking of which, we get to hear a hauntingly beautiful piano version of the theme music in the new trailer.
