Godzilla has been one of Japan's most favourite monsters, whose films had portrayed it as both hero and villain. When  Hollywood turned its eyes on the creature, we got two very popular movies - releasing in 1998 and then in 2014. While the 1998 version had it treated like how Hollywood treats any monsters, the 2014 version gave Godzilla a heroic spin. Critically, also the latter version was more acclaimed, though fans complained that there were far too less of the titular monster in the film. Perhaps, listening to the fans' pleas, the sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, has more monster action, going by the recently revealed trailer.

The first trailer of Godzilla: King of the Monsters was launched at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, after which it made its way to YouTube. The trailer reveals a an apocalyptic world, whose survival depends on the revival of some hibernating monsters, or as Vera Farmiga (Conjuring)'s character puts it 'Titans'. So apart from the reigning Godzilla, the movie also features other popular Japanese monsters like Mothra, Rodan and the three-headed King Ghidorah.
