Dave Bautista doesn't mind going against Marvel Studios if required (read: demanding James Gunn be reinstated), let alone see a bishop's homophobic tweet go viral on his Twitter feed. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor took to his micro-blogging site and slammed a bishop who had posted, "A reminder that Catholics should not support or attend LGBTQ “Pride Month” events held in June. They promote a culture and encourage activities that are contrary to Catholic faith and morals. They are especially harmful for children," When the entire world is coming to terms with the reality and naturality of the homosexuality, to tweet something regressive was not acceptable to Dave. WWE Wrestler-Turned-Actor Dave Bautista to Star in Zack Snyder’s ‘Army of the Dead’.

Dave wrote back, "My moms a lesbian. I think I turned out ok. And the activities she chooses is to help the homeless and people suffering from mental illness. I admit I’m not perfect but at least I was never a judgmental hypocrite! I'm sure you don't speak for most Catholics. Have a nice day"

This is not the first time, Dave has talked about his mother. Dave and his mother have not had a dreamy, glitzy life. They have struggled against society for the most part of their life owing to various reasons and circumstances. In an interview, earlier, Dave has said, "She was Mom, an incredibly strong woman who always did her best to keep me out of trouble and keep me alive." Once, Dave, had even warned boxer Manny Pacquiao for making anti-gay comments.

Dave will be next seen in movies like Army of the Dead,  Escape Plan: The Extractors, My Spy, and Dune. While no new announcement has been made yet, but you can very well expect the actor to reprise his role in Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3, soon enough.
