Based on the popular book by novelist Nicholas Searle, the story revolves around a charlatan, Roy Courtnay, who interacts with a wealthy widow, Bett McLeish on a dating website. Things get a tad bit complicated for Roy as he is now to choose between his love for Betty and his commitment towards earning a livelihood by doing what he does best, conning.
