Priyanka Chopra's talent has landed her roles in big Hollywood productions. And, of course, she is gorgeous, beautiful and, as she likes to put it in her debut single, exotic. It doesn't even come as a surprise that a leading international magazine, People, has named her Beauty of the Year in their latest issue. Though what does come as surprising is Priyanka critiquing the societal standards of beauty further perpetuated by beauty magazines. It requires guts to say that out loud being the top actress across countries. "In the world, we live in, the standard of beauty is not really real. And that’s something that we have done to ourselves," she said in her interview. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas Celebrate Their First Easter Together As Husband and Wife! See Pics.

Priyanka, who is gearing up for her wedding comedy feature film with Mindy Kaling, took a jibe at beauty magazines as well. "I think I realized what all it takes to actually look the way we do on magazine covers and the work we do. That’s when I realized looks aren’t everything, it’s the confidence with which you walk into a room, it’s the ability to do your job to the best of your capabilities," she said. Priyanka Chopra Jonas Writes an Article Honouring Menaka Guruswamy, Arundhati Katju, Two Lawyers in TIME’s List of 100 Most Influential People of 2019.

Well, if one of the most beautiful women on the planet, a former Miss World, is telling us that there are things way more important than looks to thrive and survive, we better listen.

On the work front, Priyanka was last seen hosting YouTube special, If I Could Tell You Just One Thing, in which she interviewed three inspiring women. We hope to see a continuation of this special in some way. The actress will be seen in a Bollywood movie, currently titled The Sky Is Pink, this year. She has also revealed that she is developing a feature film on Maa Anand Sheela. And, as mentioned, there is a Hollywood movie about Indian weddings, which has been backed by Universal, in her kitty.
