Star Plus' Mariam Khan - Reporting Live, which airs on Star Plus and even streams on Hotstar, has charmed its audience with its very fascinating storyline. But here's a disappointing news to the ardent fans of Mariam Khan - Reporting Live as the show is all set to bid adieu in January owing to low TRPs. Despite the makers trying hard with different plot twists and bringing up the new characters, there were no improvement in the TRP ratings. Yes, you read that right. The show took a leap and had roped in new actors in the roles of Mariam and Fawad. While the introduction of the new leads Mahima Makwana and Param Singh created some excitement, the show's TRPs are still pretty low and therefore, the channel has taken the decision to pull the plug of the show. Khalid Siddiqui on Mariam Khan Ending: ‘It’s Sad That The Show Is Going Off-Air’

While talking to LatestLY, actor Param Singh confirmed the news that the show is going air. Talking about it, the actor further added, "I only shot for 80 to 90 days but the experience was incredible. Also, working with talented actors like Mahima, among others, it was such a wonderful experience though it was just for a short span." Speaking of what will he majorly miss about the show, the actor instantly said that he will miss Mahima as it was great working with her. Speaking of further plans, "I am currently working on a web series. I have also been approached for three TV shows but I am a little confused about whether to take it up or not. However, cinema interests me the most and I will work towards getting one."

Mariam Khan - Reporting Live will reportedly wrap up the shoot in December and will air its last episode on January 11, 2019. Written by Saba Mumtaz, the story revolves around Mariam Khan who dreams to be a reporter and faces a lot of shocks in her life.
