As we know, Star Plus' Ishqbaaz – Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak Kahaani, starring Nakuul Mehta and Niti Taylor, aired its last episode last night and it is no secret that Nakuul's Ishqbaaz is making way for Shaheer Sheikh's Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke to take the 10 PM slot starting on March 18. Passing the baton to Shaheer, Nakuul wished him good luck and also had a few kind words to say to him. Nakuul took to the micro-blogging site to tweet, "Passing the baton on to my friend & one of the brightest stars we have on TV, today @Shaheer_S ! Own the 10 pm slot and make a kickarse show. Rooting for you & #YehRishteyHainPyaarKe ❤️ @StarPlus" Ishqbaaz – Pyaar Ki Ek Dhinchak: Nakuul Mehta and Niti Taylor’s Show Airs Its Last Episode, Fans Trend #ShivikaKaIshqbaaaz
To this Shaheer responded that they will try to match-up to the standards set by team Ishqbaaz. However, " it won't be easy," he added. Shaheer's tweet read, "I know it’s a big responsibility and we will try our best to matchup to the standards u guys have set (which is not gonna be easy) Thnx bro and all the best for ur future endeavours." For the uninitiated, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is a spin-off to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which will see Shaheer and Rhea Sharma in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, recently during a conversation with Pinkvilla, Shaheer reacted on his show replacing Ishqbaaz. Expressing his sadness over it, the actor said, "I really feel bad about that. A lot of people who loved Ishqbaaaz are going to take some time to like my show. And Nakuul is a good friend. The other day I bumped into him outside a restaurant and that time I had no idea that the show will be replacing Ishqbaaaz. I thought our show will be given the 7 PM slot and I was hoping that it doesn't replace his because it is a wonderfully made show and a lot of people are connected to it, but sadly that is happening. I don't know how to react to it. Main use kya mooh dikhaounga (said light-heartedly)." Watch this space for further updates.
