Looks like actor Salman Khan is all set to become a full-fledged TV producer now. After stepping in as the producer for this season of The Kapil Sharma Show, reports in Mumbai Mirror read that Salman is in talks now to produce and judge the next season of Nach Baliye 9. And we hope that if Salman does take up the producer’s chair for this season, he will save the show. Back when the show was in its 7th season, it was turned into a reality show which was aired 7 days a week and the hosts would interact with couples and play compatibility games with them. And as much as the format was news, it was not welcome by many viewers. Also, what did not help was the judging panel that comprised of Preity Zinta, Marzi Pestonji and Chetan Bhagat. Season 8 too became more of a controversial season of Nach Baliye when fans of the 2 jodis, Vivek Dahiya and Divyanka Tripathi and Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal, played dirty on social media, trying to pull the other down. Last season’s judging panel too was not that impressive with names like Mohit Suri, Sonakshi Sinha and Terrence Lewis, but these guys did a way better job than season 7’s judges. And now, with Salman being in talks to help things, we hope it will be better than the last two seasons. And while we seriously doubt Salman’s dancing critique (he can pull off some great hook steps but cannot judge the technicalities), we can assure that as the judge, there will be no lack of entertainment in the show. Also, we vary of this development as we do not want a repeat of what happened in Season 7 when writer Chetan Bhagat was placed on the judge's chair.
The show is all set to go on floors next month, reports Mirror, “It is slated to go on air in the next few months and the channel has plans to make this season grander. While celebrity couples and judges are being shortlisted, the channel is keen on having Salman come on board.”
If at all this proposal develops, Salman will have four shows under his belt- The Kapil Sharma Show, Nach Baliye and his TV offering titled Gama Pehalwan, which will see his younger brother Sohail Khan and another one that he is developing on Mumbai Police.
