New Delhi, March 25: Home buyers looking for a house in Delhi will now have an opportunity to buy a flat as the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched its housing scheme on 25th March 2019. The scheme which opened on Monday, will close on May 10. The scheme will provide an opportunity to own a DDA flat in the national capital. There will be a total of 18,000 flats to be sold under the online housing scheme. Most of the flats are ready to sell flats in Narela and Vasant Kunj regions of Delhi. DDA to Soon Launch New Online Housing Scheme; Moots Draft Policy on 'enhancing Walkability' in Delhi.

Under the scheme, flat buyers will get a chance to own a DDA flat in Delhi. Most of the 18,000 ready to sell flats are in Narela and Vasant Kunj regions of Delhi. Flat buyers can start applying online under this housing scheme, from today onwards at the official website of DDA, www.dda.org.in.

The flats will be sold in categories like the low-income, middle-income and high-income group (LIG, MIG and LIG). According to reports, out of the 18,000 flats, 8,383 will be in the LIG category; 7,700 in the EWS category, more than 2,000 in the MIG category and 448 in the HIG category. It must be noted that the HIG and MIG apartments will be sold in Vasant Kunj; LIG flats in Vasant Kunj and Narela; and EWS in Narela.

Here's how you can apply

  • People wanting  to apply for this scheme will have to register themselves on the DDA's online portal www.ddaonlineflt.in).
  • The application processes will be online as there is no offline form this year.
  • Individuals are required to pay a registration fee.
  • The draw process will be held in June/July this year. After that, the process of flat assigning to draw winners will start.

Application Fees

  • Applicants applying for the flats under the housing scheme will have to pay the application fees. Individuals falling in the Economic Weaker Section (EWS) category will have to deposit Rs 25,000 as application money while people in LIG category looking for a one bedroom flat will have to deposit Rs 1 lakh as application fee. While MIG category and HIG category people will have to deposit Rs 2 lakh as application fee for 2/3 bedroom flat.
  • The application fee will be refunded to every individual in case they fail to win in the draw process of DDA flats.
  • Reports state that the refund process will start as per the DDA housing scheme terms and conditions.

Eligibility Criteria for DDA Housing Scheme 2019

  • An individual planning to apply for the scheme must be a citizen of India and should be more than 18 years of age.
  • The applicant and his/her spouse should not own any residential house in Delhi.
  • He/she should not own a joint plot or land of more than 66.9 sq ft.
  • However, if he/she already owns a DDA flat, then they can’t apply for the scheme.

Price of the Flats Under the DDA Housing Scheme 2019

According to a report by Makaan.com, although the price of these flats is yet to be set,  DDA officials informed that the HIG flats will priced between Rs 1.5-2 crore. Meanwhile, the MIG flats would cost Rs 70-80 lakh and the LIG flats will be available for Rs 25 lakh. According to reports, the financing from the houses will be easily available by official banking partners like Axis Bank, Yes Bank, IDBI, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank, SBI, Kotak Mahindra, HDFC, ICICI Canara Bank and others.

The DDA scheme is linked to 'Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme’ under ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Housing for All (Urban).’ It must be noted that applicants will not be required to submit any document at the time of submission. The documents will be asked only after the draw where self-attested copy of the PAN card, the details of which will be verified before issuance of possession letter to successful allottees. The flat cost has to be deposited within 90 days from the date of issue of demand-cum-allotment letter, which will be issued online.
