New Delhi, October 22: The Central Government is likely to hike the minimum pay of its employees in November 2019. Ever since the 7th CPC got implemented in the country, it has been a long pending demand of the central government employees to increase the minimum pay. According to several  media reports claim that the government may hike the minimum pay from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 in the next month.

According to a report by Zee Business, the employees of the Central Government have urged the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reconsider basic pay of all the employees. At present, the Central Government employees are getting the minimum pay of Rs 18,000. This amount is 2.57 times in the present fitment factor, the report added. The Central Government has announced 5 per cent DA ahead of the festive season after the approval of the Central Government. A 5 per cent DA hike for its state government employees have been announced by several states including Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh.
