Even Aligarh Police also tweeted about the incident and made a clarification. Here's the Tweet:

As a result of the personal feud, the accused kidnapped the victim and brutally murdered her. The girl's eyes were gouged out and hands were chopped off before she was strangled.

The girl had gone missing on May 30 and the FIR was registered by the police on May 31. Locals had on Thursday blocked roads protesting the alleged negligence of the police, saying that the bereaved family had approached the police shortly after the minor went missing, but an FIR was registered only 30 hours later after she couldn't be found.

The victim's body was found on Wednesday, after stray dogs were seen sniffing an isolated field in Tappal area. After police officials dug the surface, they found the girl's corpse in a semi-decayed state.
