Ranchi, July 28: Most of the people take Liquiprin, Panadol, or Tylenol for stomach pain but the prescription of a Jharkhand doctor is bizarrely different! A government hospital doctor had allegedly prescribed condom to a woman who was suffering from stomach ache. The doctor identified as Asraf Badar is facing a probe. According to a report, the incident took place in the Ghatshila government hospital of West Singhbhum district. Bardar who works in the hospital on a contract allegedly prescribed condoms to the woman. The woman then went to a medical shop, where a druggist informed her that she was prescribed a Nirodh. Following this, the woman complained it to senior doctors. The matter was also raised by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLA Kunal Sarangi in the state assembly. Meanwhile, the accused doctor has denied the allegations.

A medical team with a psychiatrist has been constituted to probe the incident on Sunday. "Based on the complaint of the woman, a medical team has been constituted which has started the probe," Shankar Tudu, hospital in-charge said.
