Gonda, February 14: A five-year-old girl, identified as Muskan, died on Friday after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in the Dhaneipur area of Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district. The incident occurred while the child was playing outside with other children, marking a grim addition to the rising number of canine attacks reported across the region.
Muskan, the daughter of local resident Bishun Lal, was reportedly caught off guard when the animals charged. While the other children managed to flee the scene, Muskan was overtaken by the pack. The dogs inflicted deep injuries to her neck and body before villagers, alerted by the commotion, could reach her and drive the animals away. Following the attack, family members rushed the unconscious child to a nearby hospital. Despite their efforts, medical staff declared her dead on arrival.
