Minutes before publishing the report, an incident of ceasefire violation of the Indian Aerospace by the Pakistan Air Force was heard from the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district on Wednesday. Soon after the PAF's F-16 fighter jets were seen on the Indian aerospace, the IAFs confronted them and forced them to flee.

Following the attack on Pakistan's land, the government has sounded a 'highest alert' for the next 72 hours in Delhi, Mumbai and five other cities anticipating a retaliation from Islamabad. Security has also been increased at defence installations, Army camps and cantonment areas across north and west India. Besides, the Border Security Force (BSF) has been asked to intensify vigil along the line of control and the international border.
