Delhi, July 25: A 36-year-old man in east Delhi's Jagatouri area on Tuesday committed suicide by jumping from the fourth-floor house after being harassed by the bank for repayment of Rs eight lakh credit card loan. Along with Suresh Kumar, his wife Manjeet Kaur, 31, and minor daughter Tanya, 5, attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the building. "Unable to prevent her husband from jumping from the fourth floor, Manjeet along with Tanya too attempted suicide. They were taken to a nearby hospital where Suresh was declared brought dead," said a police officer. The condition of the duo are said to be critical and they are under medical attention. In her statement, Manjeet told police that her husband was threatened and harassed by bank staff regularly for last one month over the payment of credit card loan which is Rs 8 lakh. Disturbed and depressed by the torture, Suresh committed suicide.

No suicide note was recovered from the incident spot. Suresh, a native of Punjab's Hoshiyarpur was staying with his family in a rented house. Meanwhile, a police investigation will be launched into the case.
