Bhopal, October 10: In a shocking incident of sexual assault, a woman was allegedly gangraped at Bhopal Railway station in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Police have started investigation in the case. According to reports, MP police have detained four people in connection with the case. An FIR has been lodged against the accused under section 376D of Indian Penal Code (IPC). It is the second incident of sexual assault surfaced within a week from Madhya Pradesh. On Monday, a 28-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and gangraped in front of her two-year-old daughter. Victim’s ex-husband and some of his relatives reportedly gang-raped the woman in Ratlam. The victim was also burnt with cigarettes. According to reports, she was forced to drink acid. An FIR was registered.

Earlier in May this year, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 45 year-year-old man in Nowrozabad in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district. The police arrested the accused and case was registered under section 376 of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
