Bhopal, August 24: In a shocking case, a 35-year-old man committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh after he fought with his wife who wanted to spend Krishna Janmashtami with her parents. Angered over wife's decision, the man killed himself on a WhatsApp video call to his wife, India Today reported. The deceased, identified as Umesh, was a resident of Jehangirabad in Bhopal. According to police, Umesh killed himself on Thursday night after a quarrel with his wife, Aarti, at her parent's house. She had insisted on visiting her parent's house on August 15 for Rakashbandhan but could not go. So she forced him to visit them for Gokulashtami, India Today reported. So Umesh took her and two kids to her parent's house on Thursday.

However, following an argument with Aarti, Umesh left her parent's home with his seven-year-old son. At late night on Thursday, he made a WhatsApp video call to Aarti and showed her that he was committing suicide. According to police, before Aarti could react he hung himself. She immediately called Umesh's brother Raju who lives in the same locality but before Raju could break open the house, Umesh was already dead. Umesh was a chaat vendor by profession, India Today reported. Police said Umesh was in depression due to his dipping income.
