Wellington, November 27: A five-month pregnant Indian woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in White Rock beach, Wairarapa on Friday. The deceased was identified as 26-year-old Sonam Shelar, who had moved to New Zealand after getting married in July. Sonam, a fitness trainer, was reported missing from the residence she and her husband shared with few others in Cashmere Avenue, Khandallah, Wellington, on November 17.
Sonam's body was found by surfers at White Rock beach. Few days before, her two mobile phones were recovered from Island Bay beach, following which police have intensified the search operations. Her autopsy has revealed the gender of her foetus, but the police are yet to make the information public. According to the police, her cause of death is provisional, but details, including forensic analysis, will be shared with Family, reported Mumbai Mirror. Meanwhile, In Mumbai Congress leader Kumar Ketkar stepped into organising travel documents for Sonam’s family, so that they travel to New Zealand, reported Mumbai daily.
