Asansol, October 12: In another incident of sexual assault in the country, a pregnant woman was gangraped by four men in West Bengal’s Asansol district on October 10. The victim is four months pregnant. According to the report, the victim’s husband found her in an unconscious state when he returned from work. He is a motor mechanic. The police have registered a case of gangrape and started an investigation. The woman recognised the one of the three accused. Laxminarayan Meena, Commissioner of Asansol Durgapur Police told Hindustan Times, “The woman told us that one of the culprits is a local man called Kuldip Singh. A medical test confirmed that the woman was raped. The victim has also given a confidential statement in a court. In a similar incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a Karate teacher at her school on October 9 in Digha police station limits. The teacher, identified as Mukesh Kumar, is a native of Kurji region in Patna.
