A major controversy has erupted after BJP minority leader Nazia Elahi Khan shared videos of her visit to a Lenskart store, allegedly in Mumbai, triggering a heated debate on social media. In the viral clips posted on X, Khan is seen confronting store staff, including a manager identified as Mohsin Khan. During the interaction, she can be heard saying, "Sharia lagu karwana hai kya," while questioning the manager’s role and alleging discriminatory workplace practices.
Khan further claimed that Hindu employees were being discouraged from wearing religious symbols such as tilak and kalawa. In one of the videos, she is seen applying a tilak on the foreheads of employees inside the store. The staff appear visibly uncomfortable but do not resist. The act, according to Khan, was meant to counter what she described as suppression of Hindu customs. Lenskart Issues Revised Dress Code Emphasising Inclusion After Row Over Religious Symbols.

The footage also shows her raising slogans praising Lord Ram and Lord Shiva, while bystanders record the incident. The videos quickly gained traction online, drawing sharp reactions from users across the political spectrum.
In her accompanying post, Khan alleged that the company had "deliberately appointed" a Muslim manager to limit Hindu practices. She escalated her claims by calling for the arrest of Lenskart’s owner and demanding a probe into the company’s internal policies. She also raised questions about alleged links to terrorist organisations, stating concerns without presenting evidence. The post tagged several authorities, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office, and agencies like the National Investigation Agency and the National Security Guard.
Despite the uproar, there is no official confirmation about the exact store location where the incident occurred. As of now, Lenskart has not issued a statement addressing the allegations or the events shown in the viral videos.
