Bhopal, December 11:Ā The counting of votes for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018Ā is taking place today and the results are expected to be out by afternoon. We are bringing you updates on the results for six MP Vidhan Sabha constituencies - Badwah, Maheshwar, Kasrawad, Khargone, Bhagwanpura, Sendhawa. It looks like aĀ fierce battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress as the exit polls have not been able to predict as to which party will clearly win MP. While some exit polls have given the BJP an upper hand, others haveĀ indicated at a Congress victory. Voting for theĀ MP Assembly pollsĀ was held on November 28 in a single phase. Badwah Assembly Seat
The Badwah seat has been withĀ Hitendrasingh SolankiĀ of the BJP since 2008. While Singh won the previous two elections on this seat, the party has fielded him this election too. Solanki is up againstĀ Sachin BirlaĀ of the Congress andĀ Keshrilal PiplodeĀ of the BSP.
Maheshwar (SC) Assembly Seat
The Maheshwar (SC) seat was won by the BJP in 2013. While the party has fieldedĀ Bhupendra Arya, the Congress has keptĀ Dr. Vijayalaxmi SadhoĀ as its candidate on this seat. Sadho has won electionsĀ four times on this seat - 1985, 1993, 1998, 2008. The BSP has fieldedĀ Raju Pipalde.
Kasrawad Assembly Seat
The Kasrawad seat has mostly been Congress dominated.Ā Sachin Subhashchandra YadavĀ of the Congress won the seat in 2013 and is the party's candidate this election as well. Yadav is up againstĀ Atmaram PatelĀ of the BJP, who also won the 2008 poll on this seat. The BSP has fieldedĀ Gajanand Sawner.
Khargone Assembly Seat
The Khargone seat has been with the BJP over the past three Vidhan Sabha polls.Ā Balkrishan PatidarĀ of the BJP won the previous two polls in this seat in 2008 and 2013. The party has fielded him once again this year againstĀ Ravi Rameshchandra JoshiĀ of the Congress andĀ Suresh TanwarĀ of the BSP.
Bhagwanpura (ST) Assembly Seat
The Bhagwanpura (ST) seat was won byĀ Vijay Singh SolankiĀ of the Congress. The party has fielded him this election as well against BJP'sĀ Jamna Singh Solanki, who also won the 2008Ā poll on this seat.Ā Rakesh S/O Tukaram ChouhanĀ is the BSP candidate here.
Sendhawa (ST) Assembly Seat
The Sendhawa (ST) seat has been withĀ Antarsingh AryaĀ of the BJP since 2003. The BJP has fielded him again this election against Congress' 2-time MLA (1993 and 1998)Ā Gyarsilal RawatĀ and BSP'sĀ Kamalesh Thakur.
