New Delhi, March 23: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday night released the second list of candidates for Andhra Pradesh Odisha assembly polls. The party announced the names of 51 candidates for Andhra Pradesh elections. The saffron party also announced the names of 22 candidates who would be contesting the 147-member Odisha assembly. The lists were announced after meeting of the BJP central election committee which was presided over by party president Amit Shah. For Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, the BJP has given a ticket to Nishidha Raju from Nagri, GM Shekhar from Penukonda and Bhagya Lakshmi from Narasannapeta among others. The Andhra Pradesh is going for polls in 175-Assembly seats in a single phase along with the Lok Sabha elections on April 11. Congress Releases Seventh List of 35 Candidates For Lok Sabha Elections 2019, 54 Names for Odisha Assembly Polls.

The BJP released its second list for Odisha Assembly elections, a day after it announced the names of 99 candidates for the assembly polls. The party has given a ticket to Ananta Das from Bolangir, Shishir Gomang from Gunupur (ST), Tripura Garda from Koraput (SC) and Debraj Mohanty from Aska among others.

The assembly polls in Odisha will take place in four phases from April 11 to April 29 along with the general elections. The saffron party also announced the mane of a candidate for assembly by-election in Selsella in Meghalaya. Adorsho Sangma will be contesting from this constituency.

Meanwhile, the BJP also announced the second and the third lists of 37 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2019. The second list contains only one candidate from Daman and Diu while the third list has 36 names. The party has given a ticket to its spokesperson Sambit Patra for Puri Lok Sabha constituency in Odisha.
