The Faridabad Vidhan Sabha Constituency falls in the Faridabad district and under the same Parliamentary constituency of Haryana. Narender Gupta of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Faridabad seat in Haryana Assembly Elections 2019. Faridabad is both an industrial as well as a residential area and hence, issues during elections range from electricity to roads and beyond. Faridabad has a total number of 244444 registered voters and 215 polling stations. Voting in Faridabad for Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 took place on October 21. The counting of votes took place on October 24.

Vipul Goel of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won the Faridabad seat in Haryana Assembly Elections 2014, defeating Anand Kaushik of the Congress. However, Goel has been denied a ticket this election. Narender Gupta will be fighting the 2019 Haryana polls on a BJP ticket from Faridabad seat against Lakhan Kumar Singla of the Congress and Kumari Suman Lata Vashisth of the AAP among others. Vidhan Sabha Elections 2019 were also simultaneously held in Maharashtra. Voting for both Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019 took place on October 21. The results for polls in both states were declared on October 24 after counting of votes.
