Chandigarh, April 5: With the people of Haryana awaiting for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s list, the party leaders are gearing up to announce the names of candidates during the period of Chaitra Navratri – which begins from April 6. The party sources stated that senior leaders met in Rohtak on Thursday to discuss the names of probable candidates to field for the Lok Sabha elections from the state.

Party leaders from the state said that screening committee headed by in-charge of BJP Haryana Kalraj Misra, also consisted national general secretary Anil Jain, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, state party chief Subash Barala, Vishwas Sarang, state education minister Rambilas Sharma, OP Dhankhar, Captain Abhimanyu and Anil Vij. Haryana Lok Sabha Elections 2019 Dates: Constituency-Wise Complete Schedule Of Voting And Results For General Elections. 

To select the final names for the candidates, the meeting took place between Lok Sabha Prabaharis, Sanyojaks and Sah Sanyojaks of each constituency in which the national leaders were present. Later MPs and ministers of state sat to discuss the names of probable candidates, reports the Hindustan Times.

Briefing more about the meetings, a party leader said, as the daily quotes, “A short survey is also underway to finalise the names of candidates within the next two to three days. Their candidature will be announced during Navratri, which also marks the start of the Hindu new year as per the solar calendar.” Adding more, the leader said, “The names of the candidates will be declared in the next couple of days.”

The Lok Sabha Elections for 10 seats of Haryana will take place in the Sixth Phase on May 12, and the results would be announced on May 23 for 543 seats.
