New Delhi, May 7: The fifth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections have concluded and only two rounds of polling are remaining. Many pollsters have given Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) an edge over the United Progressive Alliance, headed by the Congress. However, no party or coalition has been projected to get an absolute majority in Lok Sabha. On May 23, when counting of votes will take place, apart from candidates fate of Matka players would be decided as well.

According to bookies who play Matka, the NDA is likely to get 185-220 seats and the UPA may be restricted to 160 to 180 seats. Those who are neither part of the NDA nor UPA may together win 225 to 250 seats, say gamblers in Satta Bazar, as reported by News18. The BJP is expected to suffer some loss in Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bookies in Surat and Mumbai predict that 19 candidates of the BJP may emerge winner in Gujarat, while seven seats would go to the Congress. The betting in the favour of the NDA government is Rs 11, while for the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) it is Rs 33. About Rs 12,000 crore have been placed in bets on the Lok Sabha elections results. Earlier, Satta Bazar of Hapur said that PM Narendra Modi is likely to be in a weaker position compared to 2014.

Hapur Satta Bazar has predicted a major loss for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh where it had bagged 71 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the previous Lok Sabha polls. Predicting 240 seats for the BJP, bookies have said that the saffron party would retain power with the help of its alliance partners. Bookies in Madhya Pradesh have projected 246-249 seats for the BJP, adding that the Congress party may bag 76-78.
