New Delhi, December 3: Addressing a political rally in Jharkhand today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that BJP had succeeded in breaking the back of Naxals in the state. He further thanked the people for putting up a brave fight against all those elements who tried to disrupt the peaceful environment in the first phase of polling which took place on Saturday. He further said that people have a sense of trust for the lotus symbol and the alliance between JMM-Congress in the state is deceptive

Using the reference of Ramayana, PM Narendra Modi in Khunti, said, "A prince leaves from Ayodhya and after 14 years of 'vanvaas' or exile, on his return, he becomes 'Maryada Purushottam Ram' because Prince Ram spent those years with 'Adivasis'." He further highlighted that how things that were deliberately kept stuck for a long time, and which people motivated by political interests tried to block, BJP tried to find solutions to these problems for the peace and social harmony in the country.

PM Modi spoke about other benefits that have been rolled out keeping in mind the people of Jharkhand. From free cylinders to the construction of toilets in every home to Rani Mistri training provided for the empowerment of women in the state.

The five-phased electoral battle in Jharkhand will conclude on December 20. A total of 81 Vidhan sabha seats are being contested in the state. The results of the assembly elections will be declared by the Election Commission on December 23.
