The Ambani’s first announced the engagement of their elder son Akash to the daughter of diamantaire Russel Mehta in March this year. Akash proposed Shloka in a private affair in a resort Goa in the presence of family and close friends. Yesterday, the Ambani’s threw a pre-engagement party at Antilia that was no less than a red-carpet event. The party was attended by the Bollywood biggies, from Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt to Sachin Tendulkar, Ranbir Kapoor and more. Where the celebrities are involved, the event is a fashion parade. The B-town steps out with best fashion foot forward.
Before getting engaged, Akash and Shloka were long-time friends and the couple studied together at Dhirubhai Ambani International School and have known each other for a long time. Shloka is currently a director with Rosy Blue Foundation and is a co-founder of ConnectFor, an organisation that helps NGOs get volunteers for various causes.

Isha Ambani stunned in custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla blush pink lehenga with detailed embroidery and styled the dupatta in traditional Gujarati style. She accessorised her look with diamond jewellery and kept her makeup subtle and neutral with her hair styled in half-done manner.
2. Shloka Mehta
Bride-to-be Shloka Mehta looked gorgeous in bespoke bridal gold lehenga from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla couture with an off-shoulder blouse. She too accessorised her look with diamond jewellery and kamarbandh. Like Isha, she opted for neutral makeup and hair styled in half-done manner.
3. Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra donned a glamourous red saree by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla with silver gota patti border and paired it with a golden blouse. Her bold red lips were the highlight that accentuated her entire look for the evening.
4. Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt looked elegant in a Manish Malhotra pink brocade saree with a cold shoulder blouse. The young beauty needs no makeup to look beautiful, she rather kept it simple with pinkish nude lipstick. She styled her hair into a neat bun and the gajra on the bun made the hairstyle look authentic.
5. Gauri Khan
Super stylish Gauri Khan was seen in a Falguni and Shane Peacock applique anarkali which she paired it with kundan earrings. She styled her hair on one side with loose curls. She looked lovely. While Shahrukh Khan was seen in a custom suit by Masculine.
Tomorrow i.e. June 30 will be the official engagement ceremony which will be held at the Ambani residence. Apart from the party being a star-studded event what took away our hearts was Nita Ambani’s dance performance at her son’s pre-engagement ceremony. Nita looked graceful and elegant while dancing. We cannot wait to see what the engagement ceremony will look like and who is going to wear what the function.
