Not just the festive season, it is also the wedding season in India. Yes, October to December is considered most auspicious time for marriages. In fact, the country will witness two of the most high-profile weddings in the coming months – Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas. Exciting, isn’t it? And when we speak of weddings and ceremonies, the first thing that comes to our mind is dulhan ka joda aka bridal trousseau. Bridal lehenga designs get all of us excited, and this is precisely what happened at the recently held The Wedding Junction Show. The fashion show saw a string of Bollywood actresses turn into gorgeous showstoppers walking the ramp for leading designers in the industry. You got to see pictures of beautiful Karisma Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Swara Bhaskar and Soha Ali Khan from the runway. Manish Malhotra Festive Collection 2018: Kiara Advani, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria Attend the Fashion Show (View Pics).

Fashion shows in India are dominated by Bollywood stars. Designers like to bank on B-town celeb’s popularity and stardom to make an impact. This is why you will see actors and actresses and not professional models walking the ramp as showstoppers. While this debatable topic can be taken up for a discussion some other time, we got to check out how did our Bollywood stars fared while walking the ramp for designers at The Wedding Junction Show.

1. Karisma Kapoor in Shantanu Goenka Bridal Couture

Have you seen Indian-style Barbie dolls? Yes, the one wearing bridal lehenga? Karisma Kapoor reminds us of the pretty doll as she walked the ramp in Kolkata-based designer Shantanu Goenka’s bridal couture. Everything about the orange-red-green bridal outfit, the heavy jewellery, makeup to the grace with which Karisma carried it all was just PERFECT!!

2. Soha Ali Khan in Bindani - By Jigar and Nikita

If Shantanu’s design was all about quintessential Indian bridal avatar, designers Jigar and Nikita's Bindani presented us with mix of contemporary yet desi look. Presenting their bridal collection titled 'The Celestial Glow' was beautiful Soha Ali Khan who looked regal in the pastel shade of pink. The intricate design of her lehenga and the contrasting red dupatta was just outstanding.

3. Radhika Apte in Aroka

Next up is Radhika Apte. The versatile actress showed off her modelling skills as she turned the showstopper for Shweta Agarwal and Karan Ahuja of Aroka. She wore a blue lehenga with golden leaves motifs. Radhika completely ditched jewelleries or any other accessory to give major comfy vibes. Love how her mid-part hairstyle and bold red lips complement her outfit.

4. Fatima Sana Shaikh in Sonaakshi Raaj

Fatima Sana Shaikh was the showstopper for Sonaakshi Raaj at The Wedding Junction Show. The Thugs of Hindostan actress looked beautiful in cream ruffled lehenga and choli. While this may not be deemed fit for the marriage ceremony but would be perfect for an engagement or other wedding functions such as sangeet ceremony.

5. Swara Bhaskar in Richa Malkani

Swara Bhaskar wowed us with a glammed-up avatar in her last release Veere Di Wedding, but the same could not be said about her while walking the ramp for Richa Malkani. The Kolkata-based clothing line had Swara as their showstopper, but the actress seemed a little awkward while presenting the beautiful blue lehenga with golden prints. Nevertheless, the bridal lehenga is way too pretty, and we should focus on that.
