The five-day long fashion extravaganza, Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) is back with its 38th edition and starting from today (Day 1) be ready to be bowled by the latest fashion trends. The Winter/Festive 2018 collection promises a line-up of shows, designers, creative presentations and ideas from the upcoming talents and the industry’s veteran designers. The fashion show will witness Bollywood biggies walking the ramp for designers. On Day 1, Rhea Chakraborty turned showstopper for designer Urvashi Joneja for her collection titled ‘AWAY’. ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ fame Rhea Chakraborty walked the ramp for Urvashi Joneja’s collection that focuses on celebrating the essence of women who have shattered the glass ceiling. ‘AWAY’ will showcase ‘power dressing with a feminine twist with intricate geometric and graphic prints juxtaposed with applique and embroidery’.

Rhea stepped out looking stunning in a floor-length black gown with golden bird-applique work on the front and back. The chirpy actress is also seen flaunting her sexy back with detailed intricate work. Rhea is seen sporting neutral makeup and left her long locks flowing with soft waves at the end.

As per media reports, Rhea earlier said in a statement, “I’ve always admired Urvashi’s take on empowering silhouettes for women of all shapes and sizes along with her intricate detailing. Since this season’s collection ‘AWAY’ takes its inspiration from the concept of breaking free, it perfectly resonates with my belief of self-liberation.”

As reported by PTI, designer Urvashi Joneja speaking on Rhea being her muse, said: “Being the classic girl-next-door, Rhea is someone every girl can relate to easily. She completely resonates the ideology of a self-made girl who’s gone beyond the norms to achieve great success. She represents the modern, independent girl and I couldn’t have asked for a better muse to showcase this collection.” The first day will also witness collection from designers  Rahul N Shiksha, Ankur & Priyanka Modi and Abraham & Thakore.
