Cheti Chand is celebrated on the first full moon that appears after a no moon. In the 10th century, the Sindhi community were under the tyrant rule of Mirk Shah. He forced the Hindu Sindhis to convert to Islam, and if they failed to do so, he warned them of dire consequences. This made the community pray for 40 days on the Sindhu river to Lord Varuna. Divine child, Jhulelal was born around that time and he saved the community from the demonic rule of Mirk Shah. Hence, Cheti Chand marks an auspicious occasion for Sindhis and they pray to their lord Jhulelal. On this occasion, we at Latestly wish happiness and prosperity in everyone's life. Happy Cheti Chand.
