Trades conducted in these 60 minutes during Diwali are believed to bring prosperity and wealth as this time period is considered extremely auspicious. The pre-opening session of the trading will be held between 5:15 pm and 5:30 pm.

According to a CNBC TV18 report, mostly investors pickup long-term stocks during the one-hour trade as the stocks are expected to garner gainers, especially the shares bought during Diwali. Investors are, therefore, advised to look out for companies that have consistently shown good returns in the recent past. From the previous year's Muhurat trading till October 31, 2018, the Sensex has gained 5 percent and Nifty is up marginally at 0.87 percent.
