Navratri and Durga Puja is over, let's make way for another favourite festival of India- Karva Chauth. The Hindu fasting festival will be celebrated on October, 17, 2019. On this day women fast for the long life and happiness of their husbands. They do not drink water or eat the whole day and wait for the moon to show that night. They then see the moon through a sieve and then with the same sieve they see their husbands. The first morsel of food and sip of water is then fed to the fasting wives by their husbands. That marks the end of their fast. Karwa Chauth 2019 Date and Puja Timings: Karva Chauth Significance, Puja Vidhi And Celebrations Related to Hindu Festival For Married Women.
