Every year on January 24, India celebrates Girl Child Day. With an aim to create awareness about the importance of women in society. Last year, when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended an event on National Girl Child day, he had said, "We salute the skills, strengths and fortitude of the girl child. We are proud of the accomplishments of the girl child in various fields.”
