Microblading revolutionised the semi-invasive beauty treatment industry. However, it didn't work out very well for a woman was left with "monster eyebrows" after undergoing the procedure. She claims that her microblading treatment went "horribly wrong" and gave her "big caterpillar eyebrows". Shannon Bozell, the woman who ha to bear the consequences of Microblading gone wrong, used to over-pluck her brows, just like so many people did as a beauty trend in the 90s. However, she decided to splurge $350 and go for microblading, a treatment that gives you fake eyebrows by adding a semi-permanent pigment into the skin.
However, to her utter horror she the final result gave her eyebrows too big for her face. This also caused her to change her hair to cover her massive brows. Things got even worse when she went for a corrective treatment for the second time.
What Is Microblading?
Microblading, includes a semi-invasive procedure done to give fake, lush eyebrows to people who do not have them naturally. Strokes are tattooed with a small handheld tool to make semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading is basically tattooed like eyebrow hairs made to make it look like you have brows. The pigment is implanted under your skin and hair-like strokes are drawn to mimic natural hairs in your brows.
The time she went to the same salon to get the procedure fixed, another appointment was offered to fix the arch, however, within 24 hours after the second job, Shannon got two large blisters on the arches of her brows, to make matter worse. Despite, the explanation given by salon, she posted before and after picture online that received a lot of attention online. The salon people had told her that since she had two treatment in a short period of time, a lengthier recovery was expected. She was told to wait for about 30 days to receive the best results. The salon called out Shannon’s now-deleted post for being "hurtful" and that her business "is her everything". Shanon went on to have the procedure fixed by another salon.
