A Kerala trial court on Monday acquitted Malayalam actor Dileep in the 2017 actress abduction and assault case, with the verdict having been reserved earlier for 12 December. Speaking after the judgement, Dileep claimed there had been a conspiracy to tarnish his reputation and destroy his career. The ruling was delivered by Judge Honey M Varghese of the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court.
