Honey Trehan’s Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders builds a gripping whodunnit around Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Jatil Yadav, before expanding into a sharp critique of power, privilege and media manipulation. Darker, bolder and more political, the film proves this noir deserves to be a franchise.
