Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani and Bhagyasri Borse shine in Selvamani Selvaraj’s period noir Kaantha, a film that begins with gripping tension and superb performances but loses steam in a stretched second half. Strong craft can’t fully save this ambitious yet uneven mystery drama.
