EPFO has clarified that EPF accounts continue earning interest after retirement under specific conditions. For those retiring before 55, interest is credited until age 58, while others earn interest for three years post-retirement. After that, accounts become inoperative and stop earning. The EPF interest rate for 2025–26 is 8.25%, pending approval.
