A Mumbai man pursuing a PhD in the US was recently booked by the Mumbai police for sexually abusing and threatening a 31-year-old woman from the city on the false promise of marriage. The victim told cops that the accused sexually abused her, beat her and even threatened to make her nude photos public. The police are investigating the incident.
