The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert till August 12 for Pauri Garhwal, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Bageshwar, and Nainital. Additionally, schools have been shut in view of the situation, and people are advised to stay indoors.
